Amankwa-Manu is serving a second term, having also served in the 8th Parliament. Born on 11 April 1969, Amankwa-Manu hails from Atwima Foase. Amankwa-Manu was educated at Ghana School of Law (Professional Law Degree(BL), 2020), University of Maryland (Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis, 2019) and GIMPA Law School (LLB, 2015). Amankwa-Manu's career includes serving as Deputy Minister of Defence at Government of Ghana and Presidential Staffer Seconded to National Security at Government of Ghana. In the 9th Parliament, Amankwa-Manu is Deputy Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee and is a member of the Security and Intelligence and Committee of Selection committees.
