Tiger Eye Pi, has in a press release stated  Anas Aremeyaw Anas shall only testify in court in mask and not show his face to Kwesi Nyantakyi in the Judge’s chambers.

An High Court in Accra, on Wednesday, 17 May gave  a ruling that Investigate Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas should testify in an open court trial in the case of the Former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The court presided by Justice Marie Louise Simmons,  granted that, the Tiger Eye Investigative Journalist should testity in court Masqueraded in his Beads and hat style.

However, the lawyers for the Former GFA President, were opposed to the ruling of the court and demanded the Investigative Journalist testifies without his mask in open court.

Justice Marie Louise Simmons, however granted the application of Nyantakyi’s lawyers in part and held that the Investigate Journalist should testify in his mask but Kwesi Nyantakyi would be allowed to see Anas’ face in the judges chamber before the trial begins.

Tiger Eye Pi, the investigative organization that Anas works with has come out to state their position on the ruling given by the court claiming it will compromise the investigative Journalists physical security and Personal safety.

They stated that, Anas Aremeyaw Anas agreed to testifying in court after Ahmed Hussein Suale was murdered only on condition of protecting his indentity.

In the press release, they stated Anas’ request to testify in his mask is in lieu of his role as an Undercover agent and Ahmed Suale’s murder also factors in the concealing of his identity.

According to Tiger Eye, Ahmed Suale was murdered the day he had an engagement with the Attorney General’s office in the said case.

They affirmed Anas was not going to show his face to Nyantakyi in the Judges chamber before the trial.
