The government of Ghana has approved a 9% salary increase for all public sector workers under the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) for the 2026 fiscal year. The National Tripartite Committee also agreed to a 9% adjustment to the national daily minimum wage, raising it from GH¢19.97 to GH¢21.77, effective from January 1 to December 31, 2026. Armed assailants have shot and killed a 68-year-old British national at a drinking spot opposite the Tema Community 9 cemetery on Friday, November 7, 2025.
