“I am honoured to have become the first player to win both awards in the same season,”

“It has been an incredible first season in the Premier League and lifting the trophy last weekend in front of our fans at the Etihad was a very special moment for me.” Halland said.

Manchester City has secured the award for seasons in a row with Kevin De Bruyne taking the honour in 2019-20 and 2021-22 and Ruben Dias in 2020-21.

The Norwegian remains a favourite for the most coveted and touted football award, the Ballon d’or as he has clinched the Young Player of the year award by the English Premier league which adds up to his Footballer of the Year Award, Premier League title and he looks forward to lifting the Championship League against Inter Milan at Instabul as well as the FA Cup against rival derby Manchester United.
