I nearly lost my voice three years ago – Bola Ray reveals

Ghanaian Radio and Tv Personality, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, also known as Bola Ray, has revealed he nearly lost his voice three years ago while addressing audiences at the Shine Summit.

The CEO for Media conglomerate, EIB Network, addressed audiences that were present at Ghanaian Blogger, Kobby Kyei’s Shine Summit at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel as a Guest Speaker and gave them nuggets in media and entrepreneurship.

He disclosed that, three years ago, he nearly lost his voice and after a surgery, he nearly died but fortunately he was to flown to France for a surgery which has put him back on the track of his normal life.

“I nearly lost my voice. I went to do a surgery and I nearly lost my life. I had to be flown to France, again thanks to the French Embassy. I couldn’t talk for about a week I had to scribble everything to my wife.”

Inferring from this, he advised the youth gathered  that were enthusiastic of working in the media and the entrepreneurial space to be each brothers keeper because life is precious.

“It tells you that life is precious. All the cars, all the houses, all the money, yes they are good but let’s be there for one another because you will never know what will happen to us tomorrow. Let’s be humble let’s love one another.”

He referred to a documentary aired on TV3 by adjudged GJA Journalist of the Year Portia Gabor,  where one Samuel Akonnor couldn’t speak well as he suffered  movements disorders while speaking due to a diagnosed cervical dystonia. Akonnor’s story touched hearts and he received financial assistance from individuals and corporate entities.

Bola Ray mentioned that he could identify with the young man  when he had a health disorder in his speech. Hen then encouraged persons who want to help to also reach out and touch lives.

“So looking at that documentary and seeing how that young man is struggling. There will be help for him. If there is anything any of us can do, please let’s not hesitate to reach out because I could identify with that.”
