George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan is the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South in the Central Region, representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Ricketts-Hagan is serving a fourth term, having also served in the 6th Parliament, 7th Parliament and 8th Parliament. Born on 21 August 1963, Ricketts-Hagan hails from Cape Coast. Ricketts-Hagan was educated at University of Chicago Business School (MBA, 2005), University of London, UK (MSc, 1996; BSc, 1995) and Adisadel College (Advanced level, 1985). Ricketts-Hagan's career includes serving as Central Regional Minister at Government of Ghana and Deputy Minister of Trade at Government of Ghana. In the 9th Parliament, Ricketts-Hagan chairs the Ways and Means Committee, is Vice Chairperson of the Appointments Committee, is Vice Chairperson of the Business Committee, is Vice Chairperson of the Ethics and Standards Committee and is a member of the Defence and Interior and Finance committees.
