Joseph Frempong is the Member of Parliament for Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Frempong is serving a second term, having also served in the 8th Parliament. Born on 16 July 1969, Frempong hails from Obo Kwahu, Eastern Region. Frempong was educated at University of Ghana Legon (MA Public Affairs, 2011), University of Ghana (MA Public Affairs, 2011) and UCC (B Ed Social Studies, 2004; B Ed. Social Studies, 2004). Frempong's career includes serving as Assitant Lecture at University of Education Winneba (iede) Nkawkaw and Geography Master at Nkawkaw Senior High School. In the 9th Parliament, Frempong chairs the Judiciary Committee, is Vice Chairperson of the Office of Profit Committee and is a member of the Works and Housing Committee.
