Tottenham signs Kulusevski on a permanent deal

Tottenham has signed Juventus loanee Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent deal after his 18 months loan spell with the club.

The two clubs, Tottenham and Juventus, reached a €30 million fee till 2028, according to Fabrizio Romano, after a €35 million bid was negotiated to the current fee in the contract.

The winger has worn the Spurs jersey for the last 18 months, approximately a season and a half since he joined in January 2022.

Tottenham triggered the option to buy clause in the contract after an impressive performance in the top-flight league. It booked them a place in the 2022–2023 Champions League with manager Antonio Conte.

The 23-year-old made 57 appearances and scored 7 goals with 48 of them in the Premier League

He ended his debut season as the first Premier League player in history to finish in the top 10 assists after he made less than 20 appearances.

His contract included an obligatory option to buy if Spurs made it to the Champions League after the 2023–2024 season. However, that fell through after they came 8th on the league table.

The Sweden international is the first signing made in this summer transfer under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

He was honored with the 2022 Guldbollen, Sweden’s biggest prize for male players, last year in December.
