“Our commitment as a caucus is to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of our party,” Mr Afenyo-Markin stated emphatically.
He explained that the visit was specifically to extend congratulations to Dr Bawumia on his victory and to assure him of the caucus’s unwavering backing as the party prepares to reclaim power in the next polls.

During the engagement, the caucus commended the peaceful and mature manner in which the primaries were conducted by all aspirants and delegates.
Mr Afenyo-Markin highlighted that the orderly process demonstrated the strength and discipline of the party, qualities he said would be vital in the build-up to 2028.
He called on all party members, supporters, sympathisers, and stakeholders to close ranks and rally solidly behind Dr Bawumia, emphasising that a united front would be the key to victory.
