The Ghana Police Service has apprehended another suspect in connection with the killing of a police officer at Zebilla in the Upper East Region.
In a statement dated February 17, 2026, the police indicated that the suspect, Abdul Iddrisu alias Baaluse, was arrested at his hideout in Polego, a suburb of Bolgatanga, during a joint intelligence-led operation.
In an update on the case, the police recovered some items, including three mobile phones, which are currently being analysed as part of the ongoing investigations.
Investigators have also linked the suspect to videos in which he is seen displaying weapons believed to be connected to criminal activities in the area.
“A special police operation is underway to locate and retrieve the weapons as well as to arrest other accomplices connected to the case,” the statement added.
The suspect is currently in police custody and is assisting with investigations. Authorities say further updates will be communicated as the investigation progresses.
The statement concluded by assuring the public of continued efforts to bring all perpetrators to justice.
