A baby boy believed to be only two weeks has escaped his early untimely death by a whisker after his biological mother dumped him into a public toilet at Gomoa Potsin in the Central Region of Ghana.

Joseph Mensah Who is a resident in the area said, he caught a glimpse of the baby when he visited the public when he heard a crying baby, so he halted to fish out where the crying was emanating from.

Narrating the unfortunate incident, indicated that after careful observation, he saw the baby inside the toilet wailing bitterly so he returned home to inform the authorities.

The baby was subsequently rescued and sent to Gomoa Potsin Polyclinic where he’s under serious medical care.

Meanwhile, some residents who bathed the baby were utterly taken aback by the incident, saying that they’re not privy to information in the community that one has given birth in the last two weeks.

They argued that the baby was dumped by a nursing mother from another Community and they have served notice of looking for the inhumane mother who committed such a heinous act.

The case has been reported to the Gomoa Potsin Police station for further investigation to unravel what triggered the situation.
