Acheampong's career includes serving as Minister at Ministry of Food and Agriculture and Minister of State at Ministry of Interior. In the 9th Parliament, Acheampong is Ranking Member of the Security and Intelligence Committee and is a member of the Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs and Privileges and Immunities committees.
