Justin Frimpong Kodua has been re-elected by delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to continue as the party’s General Secretary.

Mr Kodua secured 4,486 votes in the contested election at the NPP’s National Delegates Conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Former Member of Parliament for Ngleshie Amanfro, Sylvester Tetteh, followed with 1,340 votes, while Eugene Boakye Antwi obtained 162 votes and Dr Charles Dwamena polled 126.

Meanwhile, Abanga Fuseini Yakubu has been elected the NPP’s National Youth Organiser.

He emerged victorious in a keenly contested election held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as the party elected new national executives to oversee its affairs.

Abanga Fuseini polled 1,550 votes to defeat five other aspirants.

Alfred Kumi Ababio obtained 25 votes, Vera Oye Bram-Larbi polled 44, Michael Osei Boateng secured 78, Clement Opoku Gyamfi obtained 631, while Chris Lloyd Nii Kwei Asamoah, the then Deputy National Youth Organiser, polled 46 votes.
