Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, affectionately known as Chairman Wontumi, was rushed to the hospital after falling ill during an interrogation at the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) earlier today.

This development comes shortly after his arrest and subsequent detention, a matter that has sparked public interest and political discourse.

The shocking incident was confirmed by his legal representative, Lawyer Andy Appiah-Kubi, who revealed that his client’s health deteriorated during the questioning process, prompting emergency medical intervention.

The circumstances surrounding Chairman Wontumi’s arrest remain unclear, but his sudden health scare has added an emotional layer to the unfolding events. As a fierce and vocal political figure, Chairman Wontumi’s presence in Ghana’s political landscape is significant, making this incident one of national concern.

Supporters and sympathizers have taken to social media to express their worry, hoping for a speedy recovery.
While investigations by EOCO continue, attention now turns to his wellbeing, as Ghanaians await further updates on both his medical condition and the legal proceedings ahead.
