Former Municipal Chief Executive for Adentan, Ebenezer Doku has indicated that that an earlier claim by former Assin Central MP and flagbearer hopeful of the NPP, Kennedy Agyapong that over 200 MMDCEs endorsed his candidacy is false.
He made this claim on the sidelines of reading a press statement at the Alisa Hotel after over 200 Former MMDCES declared their support for Former President Dr. Bawumia.
He indicated that, they did not publicly declare support for Kennedy Agyapong as they have read a statement to show solidarity with Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy.
He stated that they rather spoke, wined and dined and left the former MPs private office on June 19, 2024 where they had an engagement.
“We did not throw our support. His assertion that 250 MMDCEs endorsed him is false.Today we are reading a statement on behalf of all of us. There was no statement read atKennedy Agyapong’s.. we spoke, we wined, and dined and left. Today we are throwing our support with a statement “- Ebenezer Doku, Former MCE for Adentan
This is contrary to earlier claims that 268 former MMDCEs threw their support behind Kennedy Agyapong.
