Member of Parliament for the Bantama Constituency, Francis Asenso-Boakye hosted another session of his usual Community Clinic in Bantama, a one-on-one initiative aimed at bringing governance closer his constituents yesterday May 20, 2025,
The initiative creates a platform for direct interaction between the MP and his constituents which is inspired by the concept of a medical consultation, allows constituents to engage in one-on-one sessions with Hon. Asenso-Boakye, sharing their concerns, suggestions, and needs regarding the development of the constituency.
This initiative forms part of the MP’s broader vision to promote participatory governance and ensure that the voices of the people are heard and addressed effectively.
“This clinic is more than a platform for resolving problems—it is a demonstration of accountable leadership, proactive engagement, and trust-building through direct interaction. With the invaluable support of our assembly member, party executives, and dedicated volunteers, we provided referrals, collected petitions, and initiated follow-ups on several critical cases” he said
The residents of Bantama commended Hon. Asenso-Boakye for his tireless efforts and numerous developmental projects in the constituency.
These include the construction and rehabilitation of major roads, the development of multiple football pitches to promote youth sports, and the provision of scholarships to needy but brilliant students to support education.
Meanwhile, artisans in the constituency have benefitted from the distribution of industrial machines aimed at boosting local entrepreneurship and skills development. Constituents also noted a significant decline in armed robbery and petty crime, attributing this improvement to the MP’s dedication to community development and enhanced security measures.
Asenso-Boakye expressed his commitment to empowering women, particularly market women, by allocating a special fund annually to support their businesses.
He emphasized the importance of economic empowerment as a tool for poverty reduction and social development.
The MP’s Community Clinic marks a continuous step in deepening democratic engagement at the grassroots level. It also reflects Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye’s proactive leadership style and dedication to the socio-economic growth of the Bantama constituency.
