Artiste of the year, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 24, Mohammad Ismail Sheriff known by the stage name Black Sheriff has stormed konongo Zongo after winning Artiste of the year award.
Black sheriff who bagged the coveted Artiste of the year award including other three awards at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 24 has visited his ‘home’ Konongo Zongo in a convoy and he has received a massive welcome which has caused heavy human traffic in the streets.
The artiste in a previous interview mentioned he will be returning to Konongo Zongo to celebrate his win with his roots.
This morning, the inhabitants of Konongo Zongo have thronged the streets cheering up the artiste for bagging the awards and bringing honour to the suburb. Vehicles can no longer move as the people have taken over the street in cheers and fan.
The artiste went live on social media showing the world the lovely and joyous reception from his roots and he interacts with his fans from the sunroof of his vehicle.
“Everywhere is blocked up” the artiste says in the live video.
