CAF Champions League: GPL Winners, Asante Kotoko Will Know Preliminary Round Opponents Today

2021/22 Ghana Premier League winner’s, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will know their CAF champions League first round opponents today, 9th August, 2022.

The draw for the 2022-23 TotalEnergies CAF Inter-club competition preliminary round of games will be held in Cairo, Egypt at 16:00 local time.

The Porcupine Warriors will be hoping to get a favorable draw in the preliminary rounds in an attempt to qualify for the group stages for the first time since 2006.

The Kumasi based club return to the inter-club competition for the first time since the 2019/2020 season when they exited in the first round after losing to Tunisian based club, Etoile du Sahel.

Bitter rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak will also know their fate today when the draw for the preliminary rounds of the CAF Confederations Cup is done at the same venue.
