Founder and Team Lead of The1957News, Nene Odompleh, has urged Ghanaian digital media creators to prioritise collaboration over competition to build a stronger and more sustainable industry.
Delivering the opening remarks at the maiden Digital Media Creators Networking and Capacity Building Conference organised by The1957News on Thursday, April 30, 2026, Nene Odompleh emphasised that the digital space offers enough opportunities for all creators to thrive.
“We must not see ourselves as competitors. The digital space is vast, constantly expanding, and full of opportunities. The success of one creator does not diminish another; it strengthens the entire ecosystem,” he said.
“Indeed, the sky is big enough for us all. There is room for every voice, every niche, and every creative expression. When we support one another, share knowledge, and build strategic partnerships, we do not just grow individually, we build an industry that commands respect, influence, and sustainability,” he added.
The conference, held at Conclave Meetings & Events, brought together digital creators, industry leaders, and stakeholders to strengthen capacity and foster meaningful collaboration in Ghana’s rapidly evolving digital media landscape.
Nene Odompleh, who founded The1957News, which is one of Ghana’s fastest-growing online news portals, encouraged participants to network intentionally and treat the event as a turning point in their careers as content creators.
