Friday Night Hit Maker, Lasmid Nathaniel Owusu, popularly known in the music industry as Lasmid, has reportedly left Highly Spiritual Music.

In an interview with Entertainment Media Guru, Andy Dosty on Adom TV’s Showtyme, last night, CEO of Highly Spiritual Music, David Kojo Kyei, commonly known as Kaywa, revealed that the Takoradi Star had left his record label and the conversation of leaving the label started even before the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Night.

The music producer with the popular signature “Ka sɛ Kaywa” hinted there is a story behind the artist’s exit from the label, and he will duly announce his departure to the general public.

” It was way before VGMA, and he started complaining that he wanted to go.  There is a story behind it, and I don’t think it is appropriate to start the Lasmid conversation now. At the right time, we will show a lot of respect to our listeners to bring out the entire truth.”

Exclusive information Available to the1957news.com from a source has revealed that Lasmid has a good case for leaving the record label. According to the source, after the artiste won the MTN Hitmaker, he was on a managerial contract with Kaywa, which expired before his Friday Night hit.

The source further hinted that Kaywa only rented a two-bedroom apartment for the artiste, which costs GH 26,000, of which Kaywa doesn’t even know the house.

The source alleges that after Lasmid got the cream with his Friday Night hit, Kaywa presented a contract to the artiste which he described as “wicked”. However, Lasmid reviewed it with the aid of an entertainment lawyer and presented it back to Kaywa, who declined to go by the new modifications, which led to the artiste’s exit.

Lasmid penned a managerial contract with Highly Spiritual Music after he emerged winner of the MTN Hitmaker 8. He joined the likes of Krymi, Mr. Drew, Kurl Songs whom have all left the label too.
