Abena Osei-Asare is the Member of Parliament for Atiwa East in the Eastern Region, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Osei-Asare is serving a fourth term, having also served in the 6th Parliament, 7th Parliament and 8th Parliament. Born on 16 January 1979, Osei-Asare hails from Anyinam. Osei-Asare was educated at Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (Chartered Accountant, 2020), University of Ghana (Master of Science, 2014; Bachelor of Arts, 2003) and Cassig (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, 2005). Osei-Asare's career includes serving as Assistant Director at New York University in Ghana and Customer Team Leader/dealer at Barclays Bank Ghana/absa. In the 9th Parliament, Osei-Asare chairs the Public Accounts Committee and is a member of the Independent Constitutional Bodies Committee.
