Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka is the Member of Parliament for Asawase in the Ashanti Region, representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Muntaka is serving a sixth term, having also served in the 4th Parliament, 5th Parliament, 6th Parliament, 7th Parliament and 8th Parliament. Born on 17 October 1971, Muntaka hails from Kumasi. Muntaka was educated at KNUST (MSc Development Policy & Planning, 2004; MSc Development policu & planning, 2004; B.Sc Agric, 2000), Technology Sec. Sch (A -Level, 1994) and Tamale Sec. Sch (O-Level, 1992). Muntaka's career includes serving as Head of Research at Adwumapa Buyers Ltd, Kumasi. In the 9th Parliament, Muntaka is a member of the Health, Privileges and Immunities and Private Member's Bill and Private Member's Motion committees.
