Telecel Ghana has officially launched the 2026 edition of its annual Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Month, reaffirming its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs with digital tools, practical skills, visibility and opportunities to grow their businesses.
The initiative, which is observed every September, is designed to connect small and medium-sized businesses with solutions and opportunities that can help them improve their operations, strengthen their digital presence and become more competitive.
The 2026 programme continues Telecel Ghana’s longstanding SME Month initiative, which dates back to 2017.
Themed “Connect to Growth: Unlock More,” this year’s SME Month focuses on providing small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) with programmes, resources and opportunities to help them connect, grow their businesses and unlock new possibilities.
Over the years, the programme has provided platforms for capacity building, networking, market visibility and knowledge sharing to help entrepreneurs leverage technology and connectivity to grow sustainable businesses.
Telecel Ghana’s SME Month activities are targeted particularly at growing businesses, early-stage entrepreneurs and youth-led SMEs.
The 2026 programme will provide practical skills, increased visibility and product offers intended to help entrepreneurs move their businesses to the next level.
Among the featured initiatives is the Telecel Business Runway, which provides opportunities for training, mentorship and access to funding to help businesses scale.
The programme also includes the Connecting Hustles Podcast 2.0, which brings entrepreneurs together to share their experiences, strategies and lessons from building and growing businesses.
Another key activity is the Telecel AI Workshop, which focuses on practical applications of artificial intelligence for young entrepreneurs. The training covers areas including content creation, workflow automation, customer support prompts and analytics.
As part of its support for businesses, Telecel Ghana is also highlighting a range of products and services designed to address the communication and digital needs of SMEs.
These include One Business Mobile, described by the company as a business communication package, and Your Business Online Reloaded, which helps businesses establish and strengthen their online presence.
The company is also promoting the Boss Plan, a package designed to bring together services intended to support different aspects of business operations.
The Red Spotlight initiative will further provide selected businesses with free visibility across Telecel’s digital platforms through short creator-style videos, giving entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their products and services to a wider audience.
Telecel Ghana will also host the Red Mixer, an exclusive networking event aimed at bringing young entrepreneurs together to exchange ideas, build relationships and explore potential opportunities.
The company’s SME Month programme has increasingly incorporated networking and visibility initiatives as part of its broader effort to create an ecosystem in which entrepreneurs can connect with potential customers, partners and other business leaders.
In 2025, for instance, Telecel introduced Red Pop-Up activations that placed young creative entrepreneurs in high-traffic public spaces, including Rawlings Park in Accra. Selected entrepreneurs received financial support to help grow their businesses.
Telecel Ghana’s support for SMEs has also included initiatives targeted specifically at women entrepreneurs.
Its Women in Business (WIB) programme provides female entrepreneurs with access to tools and opportunities including business websites, digital and physical marketplaces, networking, insurance, financing and loyalty rewards.
In April 2026, Telecel Business also organised a capacity-building workshop for about 50 women entrepreneurs in the Ashanti Region, focusing on credit risk, customer credit assessment, cash-flow management and financial sustainability.
The company says such initiatives form part of its objective of helping SMEs become more resilient, sustainable and competitive.
With the 2026 SME Month now underway, Telecel Ghana is inviting entrepreneurs and growing businesses to take advantage of the various activities, training opportunities, networking platforms and business solutions available throughout September.
