5 police officers interdicted for unauthorized use of uniforms on social media

The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five officers for engaging in various acts of misconduct on social media, specifically involving the unauthorized use of police uniforms.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Public Affairs Directorate announced that the officers had been suspended and referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau for further investigation and necessary disciplinary action.

The interdicted personnel include:

– No. 45545 G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale

– No. 50300 G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere

– No. 51816 G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo

– No. 56563 G/Cpl. Charles Oduru

– No. 14494 PW/Const. Elizabeth Dika Korkor

“The Ghana Police Service has interdicted the following personnel of the service for various acts of misconduct involving the use of the Police uniform for unauthorized purposes on social media,” the statement read.

It emphasized that the actions were in violation of the service’s professional standards, underscoring the importance of maintaining discipline and integrity among officers.

The release was signed by Richond Mensah, Deputy Superintendent of Police, on behalf of the Director-General of Public Affairs
