Bechem United’s Augustine Okrah Signs For Tanzanian Giants, Simba FC

Tanzanian topflight side, Simba FC have announced the signing of Bechem United winger, Augustine Okrah on a 3-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Days before the transfer was announced, President for Bechem United, Kingsley Owusu Achau hinted the wingers switch was imminent after confirming Simba FC’s interest in the player.

The winger who had a sterling performance in the Ghana Premier League season by scoring 14 goals and guiding his team to a third-place finish in the just ended league and also an FA Cup final appearance drew interest from several European clubs as well as African club teams.

Bechem United confirmed the departure of the 28-year-old with a post on twitter, likewise their Tanzanian counterparts announcing the signing of the player on twitter.

Augustine Okrah’s most recent stint with an east African club was dubbed a success after he ended the 2015/16 season with 17 goals and 11 assists for Sudanese side Al-Merrikh.

The former Bechem United winger joins his new teammates in Egypt for their preseason tour.
