Agradaa released from Nsawam Prison

Former fetish priestess-turned-evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has been released from the Nsawam Medium Security Prison after serving eight months in custody.

Her husband, Asiamah, announced her homecoming in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, expressing gratitude for her safe return.

“Thank God my wife is finally home,” he wrote.

Nana Agradaa is also expected to make her first public appearance later today by joining members of her church for fellowship, signalling her return to active ministry following her release.

The controversial personality was originally sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment by an Accra court on July 3, 2025, after being convicted on charges of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement.

Her legal team appealed the sentence, describing the 15-year term as excessive and disproportionate to the offence.

In a subsequent review, the Amasaman High Court reduced the sentence to 12 calendar months, ruling that the original punishment was unduly harsh.

Agradaa’s release comes in line with Ghana’s standard remission policy, which allows eligible prisoners to be freed after serving two-thirds of their sentence with good behaviour.

She had therefore completed the required portion of the revised 12-month term, leading to her discharge from the Nsawam Prison facility.
