Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has taken the lead in the NDC’s 2028 presidential race among party delegates for the first time, according to the latest poll by Global InfoAnalytics.
The poll, conducted from September 11 to 13, 2026, puts Dr Ato Forson at 32%, up from 22% in the July 2026 poll.
NDC National Chairman General Asiedu Nketiah, who previously led the race, has dropped from 27% to 23%.
Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu follows with 5%, while former Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang polls 3%. Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has 4%, Prof Joshua Alabi 2% and Agric Minister Eric Opoku 1%.
The proportion of undecided delegates has also declined from 30% in July to 28%.
Global InfoAnalytics said Dr Ato Forson leads in the Ashanti, Central, Eastern, Greater Accra, Western and Western North regions, and has also taken the lead in Bono.
General Asiedu Nketiah leads in Ahafo, Bono East, North East, Savannah, Oti, Upper East, Upper West and Volta, while Haruna Iddrisu leads in the Northern Region.
