Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah is the Member of Parliament for Takoradi in the Western Region, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Darko-Mensah is serving a fifth term, having also served in the 5th Parliament, 6th Parliament, 7th Parliament and 8th Parliament. Born on 18 June 1974, Darko-Mensah hails from Ahwiankwanta. Darko-Mensah was educated at University of Cape coast (MA, 2006), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (BSc (Hons), 2000) and Mfantsipim School (GCE A Level, 1994; GCE O Level, 1992). Darko-Mensah's career includes serving as MD at E- Base Africa Ltd and Supervisor at Ahenfie Hotel. In the 9th Parliament, Darko-Mensah chairs the Parliamentary Affairs Committee, is Ranking Member of the Privileges and Immunities Committee and is a member of the Chieftaincy, Culture and Religious Affairs Committee.
