Let’s build Nat’l Cathedral to save Akufo-Addo from disgrace – Okyenhene

Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II has urged to Nananom of the Abuakwa Traditional Area to assist in accumulating resources to get the National Cathedral of Ghana erected.

He indicated when built the National Cathedral will be a central chancel of worship for worshipers from all walks of life and will get Christians to be abreast with their religion without necessarily traveling to Israel.

He further stated that the building of the cathedral will save President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo from extreme shame.

“[The President] has to glorify God and complete that building to show his appreciation to what God has done for him and that he appreciates it.”

The Okyenhene made these pronouncements over the weekend when the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral of Ghana paid a courtesy call on him at Kyebi.

The Board was at the Okyenhene’s palace to seek his unflinching support for the project.

Board member Dr Joyce Aryee revealed that the controversies surrounding the project are not surprising due to the aggression of “darkness” against the “light” anytime a Christian project is to be built.

She also that the first traditional authority to be visited is the Okyenhene, asking for support from the chiefs and people of Okyeman.
