Dzata Foundation Empowers Ningo-Prampram Constituents with Over 500,000 Cedis in Grants and Equipment

The Dzata Foundation, a charitable organization under the office of Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, has made a significant donation to support constituents as part of its livelihood support program.

On August 23, the foundation provided financial assistance to fifty (50) beneficiaries, with cash donations ranging from 2,000 cedis to 10,000 cedis each. In addition, the foundation donated eighteen (18) deep freezers, four (4) motorbikes, five (5) bags of rice, and four (4) industrial sewing machines to help local business owners expand their enterprises.

Five (5) potential commercial drivers also received full coverage for the cost of acquiring their driver’s licenses, furthering their career opportunities.

During the ceremony, Hon. Sam George urged the beneficiaries to make the most out of the support provided, emphasizing that the funds are grants, not loans, intended to help grow their businesses and create a positive ripple effect in the constituency.

“We will follow up with everyone. If you had gone to the bank, you would have had to repay the loan with interest. This is a grant, and we are not asking for repayment. However, if the funds are not used for their intended purpose, we will retrieve them with interest and give them to someone else,” he cautioned.

Mrs. Vera George, the Chief Executive Officer of the Dzata Foundation and wife of the MP, echoed the foundation’s dedication to improving the lives of the people in Ningo-Prampram. She emphasized that livelihood empowerment, alongside education and health, is a core focus of the foundation.

“What we have done today is aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of the people. Once a mother can successfully run her business, it benefits her children and supports the household as a whole,” Mrs. George explained.

She also highlighted the overwhelming number of requests the foundation received, noting that fifty beneficiaries were selected, with the total cash support amounting to 500,000 cedis.

The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the MP and the Dzata Foundation for the support and promised to use the investment to better their lives and businesses.
