Italian League Postpones Fixtures Following the Passing of Pope Francis

The Italian football league has postponed today’s fixtures following the passing of Pope Francis.

In a statement, Lega Serie A confirmed that matches in both Serie A and Primavera 1 have been rescheduled.

“Following the passing of His Holiness, Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A can confirm that today’s league games in Serie A and Primavera 1 have been postponed. The dates for the rescheduled fixtures will be announced in due course,” the statement read.

Top-flight matches affected by the decision include Parma vs Juventus, Genoa vs Lazio, Cagliari vs Fiorentina, and Torino vs Udinese.
