Two people have been confirmed dead, with six others injured, following a fatal accident at Kwasu on the Bechem–Techimantia road in the Ahafo Region.

According to a Ghana National Fire Service statement, the incident happened around 1:45 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, when a Toyota Voxy bearing registration number AS 6403-25 veered off the road and crashed.

Personnel from the Bechem Fire Station of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded to a distress call and arrived at the scene to assist the victims.

The rescue team, led by Assistant Station Officer (ASTNO) Kwaku Doe, collaborated with the National Ambulance Service and the Police to extract the victims and clear the wreckage.

The Toyota Voxy was severely mangled, which complicated the rescue efforts. Emergency responders had to deploy specialised tools to free some of the trapped occupants.

According to the GNFS, two of the eight passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The six survivors, who sustained varying degrees of injuries, were rushed to the Bechem Government Hospital for treatment.
