The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, has hailed the Adwumawura Programme as a resounding success.

In a social media post on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Mr Adjei shared his excitement after an early-morning visit to the Zongo Business Incubator, one of the key hubs under the flagship Adwumawura initiative, declaring that it is effectively building a vibrant and authentic entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ghana.

“It was a joy to see these enthusiastic participants actively building their innovative ideas into the big-time ventures that will boost Ghana’s future, confirming the programme’s success in cultivating a genuine entrepreneurial ecosystem,” the NEIP CEO wrote.

He commended the training partners for their “invaluable expertise” and reserved special praise for President John Dramani Mahama, crediting him with the vision behind the programme.

“Finally, profound appreciation goes to His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama, for his foresight in championing the Adwumawura Programme, empowering these young people to become Ghana’s next successful business leaders,” Eric Adjei stated.

Launched by the Mahama-led administration as a cornerstone of its youth empowerment and job-creation agenda, the Adwumawura Programme provides start-up funding, mentorship, incubation facilities, and market-access support to thousands of young Ghanaian entrepreneurs, with particular focus on underserved communities including Zongo areas.

The Zongo Business Incubator, located in Accra, is one of several specialised hubs designed to nurture tech-enabled and community-based enterprises. Similar facilities are being rolled out in Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi, and other regions.
