The Head and Missionary-in-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, has expressed strong confidence in the leadership credentials of the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu.

Speaking at a courtesy call on the minister in Accra on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Maulvi Bin Salih described Mr Iddrisu’s style of leadership as one destined for greater national significance.

The respected Islamic cleric underscored what he described as a rare blend of humility, accessibility, and dedication in the minister’s public service.

He observed that the minister’s natural rapport with citizens continues to strengthen public trust, noting that such a connection is a defining trait of impactful leadership.

“His engagement with the ordinary Ghanaian reflects a leadership style that resonates deeply with the people and reinforces confidence in his role,” he stated.

The Ahmadiyya leader further described Haruna Iddrisu as part of a new generation of “energetic and patriotic” leaders — individuals capable of bridging the gap between experience and youthful innovation in governance.

The courtesy call, made by a delegation from the Mission led by Maulvi Bin Salih, was to commiserate with the minister following a recent road accident he was involved in while on his way to Wa in the Upper West Region for an official duty.

The minister had been invited by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission as a special guest at the graduation ceremony of the Nusra Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education in Wa.

Recounting the minister’s commitment during the visit to Wa, which resulted in the accident, the Missionary-in-Charge highlighted that Mr Iddrisu’s dedication to duty had captured public admiration.

“The Minister of Education has demonstrated a spirit of sacrifice that is truly inspiring,” he noted. “To proceed with his duties after such a traumatic event speaks volumes of his character and dedication to the people of Ghana.”

According to Maulvi Bin Salih, the minister’s consistent demonstration of commitment to national duty is a clear indicator of his readiness for higher responsibility.

“I am convinced that this young man has a lot of good in him for Ghana,” he emphasised. “As the years go by, the results of this dedication will be evident for all to see.”

Maulvi Bin Salih stressed that the minister’s actions present a compelling example for Ghanaian youth, urging them to emulate such discipline, resilience, and commitment to service.

He encouraged young people to invest in personal development and position themselves to build upon the foundations laid by current leaders.

Expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for the minister’s safety, the Ahmadiyya leader described his survival and continued service as a blessing not only to the education sector but to the nation as a whole.

He concluded with a strong note of optimism, expressing confidence that the minister’s dedication will yield measurable progress in Ghana’s education system in the years ahead.

Welcoming the delegation, Haruna Iddrisu thanked God for saving his life and for the mercy shown to him and his convoy. He expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission for the visit.

The minister also thanked all those who showed solidarity with him during the difficult period following the accident and asked for God’s blessings upon them.

He reiterated that government remained committed to expanding infrastructure to reach all communities across the country.
