Court orders filing of plea bargains in Agradaa’s ongoing criminal trial

The Accra High Court has directed parties in the criminal case involving Patricia Asieduaa, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, to formally file the terms of a proposed plea bargain at least three clear days before the next adjourned date of December 16, 2025.

The order was issued on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, following indications that plea bargain discussions between the defence and the Office of the Attorney-General were “far advanced.”

During the brief hearing, the prosecution hinted at applying for a bench warrant against the second accused person due to their absence. Defence counsel, however, explained that they had not been served with the hearing notice. The court subsequently directed the registry to ensure proper service of the notice ahead of the next sitting.

Nana Agradaa, a former fetish priestess turned evangelist who is currently serving a 15-year jail term in a separate charlatanic fraud case, appeared in court for the proceedings.

The ongoing case is on the back of allegations that Agradaa broadcast nude images of Pastor Emmanuel Appiah Fumum, also known as Osofo Biblical, on her television station and social media platforms without his consent.

The images were reportedly shown during a live programme where panelists mocked the complainant, an act prosecutors say violates the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038) on non-consensual sharing of intimate images.

The prosecution confirmed that the complainant, Pastor Appiah Fumum, who was present in court, has been part of the plea bargain discussions.

Defence lawyers raised concerns over recent media interviews granted by the complainant in which he allegedly commented on Agradaa’s condition in prison. The presiding judge urged the prosecution to advise the complainant to refrain from making public statements that could prejudice the case.

The matter has been adjourned to December 16, 2025.
