The former Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), Edwin Provencal, was arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Monday, November 10, 2025.

According to information available to The 1957News, Mr Provencal attempted to board a flight to Maputo, Mozambique, despite being placed on an EOCO stop list.

Sources confirm that he has since been taken into EOCO custody.

BOST, a state-owned entity responsible for the storage and transportation of bulk petroleum products, has been at the center of several financial scandals in recent years.

His arrest comes on the back of recent high profile arrests by various security and anti-corruption agencies.

Meanwhile the opposition New Patriotic Party has on occasions condemned these arrests of appointees of the erstwhile government, describing it as abuse of power.
