The Amasaman High Court has adjourned the appeal hearing of Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, to February 5, 2026, for judgment.
The former fetish priestess turned evangelist is appealing her conviction and sentence, arguing that the trial process was unfair and that the evidence did not support the verdict.
She is also challenging the 15-year custodial sentence imposed on July 3, 2025, following her guilty verdict on charges of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence, which she describes as excessive.
Her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, speaking to Citi News after the proceedings on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, explained that the adjournment was due to the Attorney-General’s failure to comply with prior court directives.
He attributed the delay to technical issues related to electronic evidence needed for the appeal.
The defence team opposed the Attorney-General’s Office request for an extension of time.
After the objection, the court scheduled February 5, 2026, for judgment delivery, while allowing the Attorney-General’s Office the option to submit written addresses if desired.
“The court has adjourned the case to February 5, 2026, to deliver its judgment. By then, the Office of the Attorney-General will have the opportunity to file its written addresses, if it is minded to do so,” he said.
