Nii Lantey Vanderpuye and former National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo are tied at 17% in the race for the party’s National Chairmanship, according to the latest poll by Global InfoAnalytics.

The poll, conducted between September 11 and 13, 2026, shows Mr Vanderpuye’s support has fallen from nearly 27% in July, while Mr Ofosu Ampofo’s support has declined by two percentage points.

NDC National Vice Chairman Awudu Sofo Azorka polled 5%, while Alhaji Said Sinare recorded 3%.

Former NDC National Vice Chairman Goosie Tanoh polled 2%, while Kwasi Opong-Fosu and Nii Armah Ashitey each recorded 1%.

More than half of the delegates, 53%, were undecided.

Global InfoAnalytics said the inclusion of Goosie Tanoh did not materially change the race, with Mr Vanderpuye and Mr Ofosu Ampofo emerging as the leading choices among the party’s grassroots.

The poll sampled 3,615 NDC delegates using random-probability telephone sampling, with a completed-response rate of 93%.
