One person has died and 13 others sustained injuries in a head-on collision involving a Hyundai saloon car and a Toyota Land Cruiser on Power House Road in Ho, Volta Region.
The accident involved a Hyundai saloon car with registration number GE 1005Y and a Toyota Land Cruiser bearing registration CR 2318-25.
According to a statement from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Friday, December 19, 2025, one person remained uninjured in the crash, while the fatality was recorded among the occupants.
The Ho Municipal Rescue Team, under the supervision of Assistant Divisional Officer Grade II (ADO II) Elorm Dorlvo, responded swiftly to the scene.
The team successfully extricated all 13 injured casualties from the mangled vehicles and conveyed them to the Ho Teaching Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Following the rescue operation, GNFS officers cleared the wreckage from the roadway to restore safe passage for other road users.
The cause of the accident is yet to be established.
