President John Dramani Mahama has announced that Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is steadily recovering and will soon resume her official duties.

The President shared this update while delivering his address at the launch of the National Free Sanitary Pad for Girls in School initiative on Thursday, April 24, in Accra.

He emphasized that the initiative, which promotes good sanitary care and alleviates the financial burden on the female child, was one that the Vice President was passionate about.

In his remarks, President Mahama mentioned that during a conversation with the Vice President before the event, she had confirmed her progress. “She is recuperating and catching a bit of breath. She is very well and will join us very soon to prosecute the reset agenda,” the President said.
