Officers of the Ghana National Fire Service are currently responding to a major fire outbreak at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in central Accra.
The fire, which broke out in the early mid-morning hours of Tuesday, January 20, 2025, has engulfed multiple shops and parts of a nearby bus station.
The immediate cause of the inferno is yet to be established.
A fire tender has arrived at the scene, and personnel are calling for reinforcement to complement the water supply as they work to bring the blaze under control.
