Ghana DJ Awards, the prestigious festival and Awards Scheme for Ghanaian DJ’s has announced its partnership with Joy Entertainment, a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group.

The Partnership agreement unveiled on Friday, 5th August 2022 at the Multimedia Headquarters in Accra forms part of the Scheme’s efforts toward making its 10th Anniversary a memorable one.  The Ghana DJ Awards was founded in 2012 by Merqury Quaye, mainly referred to as the Father of DJ’s in Ghana.

Speaking at the official unveiling, Merqury reiterated the scheme’s commitment to Boosting the creative economy by empowering DJs and other creatives in Ghana through capacity building, support, and reward for excellence and a constant reminder that the profession of DJing is not for School dropouts as people are mostly made to believe.

“Celebrating the 10th anniversary is a challenge to us,” Merqury Quaye said.

He believes several events start and are not able to thrive but the story of the Ghana  DJ Awards is a different story, the more reasons why people must expect more exciting activities ahead of this year’s event.

Merqury Quaye disclosed some training programs would be held in different parts of the country to educate the DJ’s on their profession as was done last year.
