The Central Regional Police Command has arrested seven suspects in connection with today’s violent attack at New Winneba in the Central Region.
Three people have been killed and 19 others injured following the violent clash at New Winneba in the Central Region, reportedly triggered by a land dispute.
According to the Ghana Police Service, the victims were allegedly attacked by some residents from communities within the Gomoa area.
Deputy Central Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Police Service, Chief Inspector Isaac Entie, who confirmed the arrests to Adom News, said investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other persons involved in the attack.
However, the Police Command has reinforced security in New Winneba with additional personnel to maintain public order and prevent any further escalation of the situation.
