Gospel artiste and former hiplife star Yaw Siki has expressed his support for calls by rapper Guru for the National Communications Authority (NCA) to ban pornographic content online in Ghana.
In a recent interview, Guru stressed the need for the NCA to take action on the growing number of pornographic content on Ghana’s internet space.
He described the situation as troubling. Guru called on the NCA to institute a ban on such content.
Reacting to Guru’s call, which has since generated various reactions online, Yaw Siki, who became a preacher and a gospel musician after a life-changing accident in 2013, responded to Guru’s call in a post on X, emphasizing the need for the ban.
“Bro … we need to push for it to happen,” he responded to a post by Guru.
Various research and surveys have established a high consumption of pornographic content by Ghanaian internet users, particularly among the youth.
