A sharp exchange occurred in Parliament on Friday when Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin criticised Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, the Member of Parliament for Essikado-Ketan.
The incident took place during discussions on the Governance Advisory Council Bill 2025. Ayensu-Danquah had moved a motion for the bill to be read a second time when the Minority Leader raised strong objections to her contribution.
This is not the first time the Minority Leader has openly challenged the Essikado-Ketan MP during parliamentary proceedings as observed by the Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga.
The Majority Leader in commenting on the incident raised concerns about the repeated incident.
