3 Music Network has announced the resignation of Gloria Akpene, popularly known as MzGee from the company.
In a press release, the company thanked MzGee for her commitment and service to its esteemed company and wished her well in her new endeavors.
It’s still unclear what necessitated her resignation, however, rumors have it that, her resignation could be linked to her multiple appearances on Despite Media’s UTV as a host on their prime entertainment show, United Showbiz.
MzGee will for the 2nd time in a row host the United Showbiz entertainment show, which Nana Ama McBrown originally hosted.
You will recall Sammy Baah Flex, formerly of Zylofone media was forced to quit his job at the station over what the company described as ‘interference’ of work. Sammy was accused of conflicting his Youtube show on his personal channel, Sammy Flex Tv, with that of Zylofone media, Zylofone FM
On the back of this, one would be tempted to liken the 3Music- UTV situation with MzGee to the scenario mentioned above.
On the flip side, however, a close source within 3Music has also revealed that the presenter’s resignation could be linked to unpaid salary arrears.
Was MzGee forced to resign from 3 Music because of her appearances on UTV?
We cannot confirm if MzGee will get a new job at UTV and become a permanent host of the United Showbiz, but the scene looks as if MzGee will be unveiled as the latest employee of Despite Media tomorrow, March 4, 2023.
MzGee is yet to make a public statement on the issue.
