Officers from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have successfully rescued a dog that fell into a well at Amamorley Canada Junction after receiving a distress call on January 20, 2025.

In a press statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the GNFS in the Greater Accra Region on Wednesday, January 22, 2026, it was detailed that a three-member rescue team, led by Assistant Divisional Officer I (ADO1) Nana Kobina Biney, was quickly dispatched following the alert.

The team arrived at the scene promptly and executed the rescue operation in line with established safety protocols, ensuring the dog was extracted from the well without any injuries.

The GNFS commended the rapid response of its personnel, reaffirming the Service’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property in all situations.
