Member of Parliament for Tano North, Dr Gideon Boako, has supported 2,200 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduates in the constituency with essential items as they transition to senior high school.
The items, distributed on Thursday, September 17, included chop boxes, calculators, school bags and exercise books to help ease some of the financial burden on parents and guardians as their children begin their secondary education.
The initiative brought together beneficiaries and their families, with former Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia, attending as the special guest.
Dr Boako’s support forms part of efforts to assist young people in the Tano North constituency as they take the next step in their educational journey, particularly at a time when families are preparing to meet the costs associated with starting senior high school.
