I was wrong – Prophet Elbernard begs for forgiveness after missing NPP flagbearer prophecy

Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun, General Overseer of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, has publicly apologised for his earlier prophetic declarations that Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would win the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries and emerge as the party’s flagbearer.

In a statement issued following Saturday’s NPP primaries, the prophet admitted that his predictions, shared through a book, videos, and media interviews, did not come to pass.

“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong, I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness,” he said.

He emphasised taking full responsibility without blaming anyone or shifting accountability.

Prophet Elbernard noted that many people trusted his word due to the prophetic authority with which he spoke, leading to emotional, spiritual, and political impacts for some followers.

He particularly apologised to those who made decisions based on his declarations and to believers in Ghana and worldwide who may have been disappointed or hurt.

“I sincerely apologise to everyone who trusted my word and was hurt, disappointed, or negatively impacted in any way,” he added, humbly asking for forgiveness to restore faith in God’s voice.

The prophet described the moment as one of reflection and realignment in accountability and discernment regarding prophetic revelations. He reaffirmed his commitment to integrity, growth, and truth, expressing gratitude to those correcting him in love and praying for him.

The apology comes as results from the January 31, 2026, primaries indicate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia securing victories in multiple constituencies, with Kenedy Agyapong trailing behind in provisional results.
