Members of the Minority Caucus in the Parliament of Ghana have held a meeting with officials from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to discuss recent economic developments in the country.

The meeting, which took place in Accra at the request of the Minority Leader, provided an opportunity for the caucus to share feedback on Ghana’s economic situation and ongoing reforms.

Members of the Minority present included Second Deputy Minority Whip Jerry Ahmed Shaib, Ranking Member on Finance Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, Ranking Member on Economy and Development Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, and other key parliamentary figures.

The IMF delegation was led by Resident Representative Adrian Alter, accompanied by AFRITAC West 2 Coordinator Razafimahefa Ivohasina Fizara and IMF Country Office Economist Osa Ahinakwah.

Both sides described the discussions as constructive and beneficial, emphasizing the importance of continued engagement between Ghanaian policymakers and international financial partners in addressing the country’s economic challenges.
